Musaib Malik: An 18 year-old pens a book on depression to create awareness

Shopian, Mar 13 (KNO): Musaib Malik,18, a youth from South Kashmir is set to publish his first anthology to address the “social evils” of the society.

 

 

 

Musaib, a resident of Pinjoora Shopian who is preparing for NEET has been also conducting

awareness programs in remote areas of the district to aware people about the importance of education.

 

 

 

While talking with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Musaib said that a

concern for human welfare and humanitarian work inspired him to write a book titled “Civilised Terrorist”.

Musaib has been a victim of depression from early childhood and tried every mean to help himself. From witnessing suicidal tendencies to boldly fight

against the depression and mental health issues,

Musaib wrote a book, not only to help himself but the society as well.

 

 

 

“I have seen people in pain, suffering depression, hopelessness and in the most disturbing mental

conditions. All this inspired me to write a book that can help people attain peace,” he said.

Musaib said that the message in the book is to stay positive in the darkest hours of one’s life.

 

 

 

“I am hoping that this book will help them in making the choices that align with the kind of person they are.

The book will turn them resistant towards the cynical society besides it will boost their confidence and help them to attain internal peace,” he said.

He said that he has tried to talk about the social evils of the society, their causes and

consequences and how these evils can be eradicated to make society peaceful.

 

 

 

“My message to everyone will be to spread the message of love and peace and help people to live a better life,” Musaib said—(KNO)
